The history of Ultrasun International
Ultrasun International was founded bij Willem Fabels in 1974. He started off working from his office at home but soon needed more space and so Ultrasun opened its first office/warehouse facility in Enschede, the Netherlands, in 1975.

The first facial produced by Ultrasun was the UltraSun 1500. Many of these facials were exported across the world to be a great succes. Ultrasun was renowned for its sturdy and solid sunbeds, which Ultrasun to this day is still renowned for!

The industry started manufacturing sunbeds completely made from metal. Look at the picture to see how the sunbeds have evolved during the years. Sunbeds now have many different color options as well as different features and options to think of.
In 1984 Ultrasun Germany was founded. In Salzbergen, just over the Dutch/German border another Ultrasun production facility was set up.
In 1985 Ultrasun International's head quarters was expanding and needed a bigger warehouse facility as well as office space. Ultrasun moved to a two storey building in Hengelo, the Netherlands. Now however the former building is occupied by the Sunfit division.

Due to solid growth and to meet customers demand Ultrasun International again moved to a new location in Hengelo. Since 2002 Ultrasun International is situated in a 95,000 square-foot (10,000 m²), five storey production/office facility.

In 2003, the production facility of Ultrasun Germany, which was also expanding rapidly, needed to move to a bigger facility. They built a new 72,000 square-foot (7,500m²) production and office facility in Salzbergen.

Nowadays Ultrasun is a company with more than 120 employees worldwide, with locations in Holland, Germany, UK, China and the USA.
